Skipping a Meeting
Remember way back, when you were still in College? There were basically 2 types of people: people who attended class regularly (almost religiously), and the people who skipped class as much as they went.

I've been working for 3 years now and I can safely say one should not take the same attitude. I basically attend all my meetings and days of work.
About 2 years back, I had a 9am-12pm meeting schedule on a Friday. I went out boozing around until 4am. I didn't wake up until 11am. This was my first quarterly meeting with a bunch of different vendors. I was the only *new face* to the meeting and so everybody was expecting me. I must have heard "where were you durining the ... meeting" for about 2 months afterwards.
